Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures rose appreciably in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal, rose in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and east Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere.

Departure: They were largely below normal in west Uttar Pradesh, markedly below normal in Haryana, appreciably below normal in Punjab, west Rajasthan, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, below normal in east Rajasthan, appreciably above normal in Jammu and Kashmir and normal in the rest of the region. the highest temperature in the region was 40.7°C recorded at Allahabad (Uttar Pradesh).

Forecast valid until the morning of May 26: Rain/thundershowers are likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Haryana, Punjab and west Uttar Pradesh. Isolated duststorm/thunderstorm is likely in Rajasthan. Isolated thunder-squalls are likely in Haryana, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of May 26: Partly cloudy sky with possibility of light rain/thundershowers accompanied with squallin some areas. The maximum temperature will be around 40°C.
