Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at many places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Uttar Pradesh. Weather was dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Jammu and Kashmir: Pahalgam 2 and Srinagar 1 and East Uttar Pradesh: Bahraich 3.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures fell appreciably in Himachal Pradesh and Punjab, fell in Haryana, rose in east Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere.

Departure: They were appreciably above normal in Rajasthan, above normal in Himachal Pradesh, below normal in east Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 45.6°C recorded at Churu (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of May 12: Rain/thundershowers will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal and at a few places in Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh. Isolated duststorm/thunderstorm is likely in the rest of the region. Isolated thundersqualls are likely in Himachal Pradesh, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of May 12: Mainly clear sky with dust haze. Duststorm/thunderstorm accompanied with squall is likely in some areas. The maximum temperature will be around 40°C.
