Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures changed little.

Departure: They were appreciably above normal in east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, above normal in Haryana and west Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 41.6°C recorded at Lucknow and Sultanpur (Uttar Pradesh).

Forecast valid until the morning of April 18: Rain/thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Uttaranchal. Isolated duststorm/thunderstorm is likely in Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of April 18: Partly cloudy sky with possibility of thundry development accompanied with squall in some areas. The maximum temperature will be around 39°C.
