Tribune News Service

Patna , April 8
State Home Secretary H. C. Sirohi and DGP Ashish Ranjan Sinha today flew to the Indo-Nepal border in Bihar to inspect the prevailing situation following reports that thousands of people were fleeing the Himalayan kingdom to escape increasing tension and threats by Maoists following a four-day blockade and chakka jam that began there yesterday.

Official sources said that a large number of people were entering bordering districts of Bihar from Nepal to take shelter fearing for their lives from the Maoists.
