Rainfall: Rain/snow has occurred at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures fell in west Rajasthan, rose in Jammu and Kashmir and changed little elsewhere.

Departure: This was appreciably below normal in Haryana, Punjab and west Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 36.6°C recorded at Varanasi AP (Uttar Pradesh).

Forecast valid until the morning of March 31, 2006: Rain/snow is likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.
