Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: The minimum temperatures fell in west Rajasthan, rose in Himachal Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. Departure: This was markedly above normal in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal, above normal in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir and west Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 4°C recorded at Adampur (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of February 7, 2006: Rain/snow is likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.
