Rainfall: Weather was mainly dry over the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: The minimum temperatures rose in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir and west Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. Departure: This was appreciably above normal in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir, above normal in Haryana, east Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 4.2°C recorded at Sarsawa (Uttar Pradesh).

Forecast valid until the morning of February 1: Rain/snow is likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Uttaranchal. Rain/thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Haryana and Punjab. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of February 1: Partly cloudy sky. Mist/shallow fog in the morning. The minimum temperature will be around 09°C.
