Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: The minimum temperatures changed little. Departure: They were appreciably below normal in Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh, below normal in Haryana and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 0.0°C recorded at Adampur (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of January 14, 2006: Rain/snow is likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Uttarachal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Low temperature warning: Ground frost is likely at a few places in Punjab during the next two nights.
