Bomb scare in Capital

New Delhi, January 2
A massive scare was created this afternoon at the highly sensitive ‘Fleet Street’ on Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg after an abandoned suitcase was found opposite Doll Museum in the ITO area of Central Delhi.

A call that a suitcase was lying unattended in the parking lot opposite Shankar’s Doll Museum was received by the PCR at about 2.15 pm, according to sources.

Soon sand bags were placed around the suspected suitcase by the PCR before the bomb disposal squad arrived. After the suitcase was broken open and a search was carried out for about half an hour, the call was declared a hoax. — UNI
