It was sheer chance that the Chandigarh Police cracked the case of murder of an unidentified man, whose headless body was found in the jungle near Maloya village in February this year.

Baddi to have rail connectivity with UT

There is good news for the entrepreneurs based at Baddi. The industrial hub would have direct rail connectivity with Chandigarh. On a request of the Himachal Pradesh Government, Northern Railway has started a feasibility study of a 20 km stretch between the two places.

Innovation may not be the key to success. After someone dumped a condemned jeep in a vacant plot in Mohali, and the plot owner was unable to remove it because of the cost factor, he decided to use the jeep for displaying a message, telling people not to throw any garbage in the plot. But things are obviously not helping. With the garbage being thrown all over the jeep, and wild growth all over, it seems that the plot owner’s innovation has not paid.

Four cows killed

As many as four cows were killed when a truck carrying them, allegedly to a slaughter house in UP, broke down on the Chandigarh-Rajpura overbridge here today. According to information, 20 cows were being transported from Patiala when the truck broke down.
