Court reprieve for Lalu

In what could be viewed as a reprieve for RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav, the Patna High Court today granted him regular bail in connection with the disproportionate asset case against him, currently under probe by the CBI.

Earlier, Mr Yadav was allowed conditional bail in the case. His wife Rabri Devi is also a coaccused in the case of assets worth Rs 48 lakh disproportionate to their known sources of income. The High Court also asked CBI Judge Munni Lal Paswan to dispose of the case within the next 30 days.
