Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in east Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures changed little. Departure: This was below normal in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir, markedly below normal in east Uttar Pradesh, below normal in Haryana and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 36.3°C recorded at Pilani (Rajasthan).

Past 24 hours change: The minimum temperatures changed little. Departure: This was appreciably below normal in Punjab, below normal in Jammu and Kashmir and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 11.8°C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).
