Rainfall: Rain/snow has occurred at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir. Rain/thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in east Uttar Pradesh. Weather was dry in the rest of the region. Banihal, Quazigund and Srinagar
(Jammu and Kashmir) each recorded 1 cm of precipitation.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures fell markedly in Jammu and Kashmir and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were appreciably above normal in west Rajasthan, above normal in Himachal Pradesh, largely below normal in Jammu and Kashmir and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 38.8°C recorded at Bikaner (Rajasthan).

Past 24 hours change: The minimum temperatures fell in west Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were normal over the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 15.7°C recorded at Ludhiana (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of October 19: Rain/snow is likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Uttaranchal. Isolated rain/thundershowers are likely in Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of October 19: Mainly clear sky. Mist in the morning. The maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 33°C and 19°C, respectively.
