Killing of 8-yr-old boy: parents, residents allege police inaction

Angry parents of the eight-year-old boy, whose body was found yesterday, accompanied by residents of Mundian Kalan today staged a massive demonstration at Jamalpur Chowk to protest against the alleged inaction of police, who had failed to registered a case of murder.

It was like the South meeting the North when noted singer Yesudas performed at a musical night organised by the Ayyapa Society of Ludhiana at Irwin Christian Senior Secondary School, here last night. City to host international textile exhibition

Dullo seeks allotment of vacant land to poor

The Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee President, Mr Shamsher Singh Dullo has suggested that all surplus government land in Punjab should be allotted to the poor at concessional and affordable rates. Mr Dullo, in a letter to the Chief Minister, Capt Amarinder Singh, has said the l and could be utilised for better purposes instead of letting it go waste.

Cops trained in handling mishap trauma
