Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in Uttaranchal. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures changed little. Departure: They were above normal in Haryana, east Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 40°C recorded at Sriganganagar (Rajasthan).

Past 24 hours change: The minimum temperatures fell in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were normal over the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 17.4°C recorded at Udaipur (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of October 12: Rain/thundershower are likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.
