Two collisions, 1 death and callous police

One student was killed and another seriously injured in two accidents near Shri Guru Gobind Singh College, Sector 26, this afternoon. Both mishaps occurred within a gap of 55 minutes. In both cases, the callousness attitude of Chandigarh Police became apparent as the victims were not shifted to the hospital in time.

Panel to lose Dasehra site next year

The local Dasehra Committee will have to hunt for an alternative site in the town to celebrate the festival next year as Phase VIII is going to be developed by PUDA.

Train cancelled

The Northern Railways, Ambala division, has cancelled the shuttle train ( 1 UK/2 UK), running between Kalka and Ambala. The cancellation of the train, which is used by daily commuters, would be till further orders.

The Chandigarh Police today ordered a probe into Constable Monmohan Singh’s death case, who was found dead in the Police Headquarters on September 3.

Ramzaan from today

Rozas during the Ramzaan month will begin on Thursday at 4.55 am (sehri) and end at 6.04 pm (iftar). On Friday, the sheri would begin at 4.56 am and iftar would be at 6.03 pm. Ramzaan will continue till November 12.
