Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have been reported at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Himachal Pradesh: Rampurbushahr 5, Paonta 3 and Bhang, Solangnala and Shimla 1 each; Jammu and Kashmir: Jammu 4 and Katra 3; Punjab:Amritsar and Ranjit Sagar Dam 3 each, east Rajasthan: Bassi 4, Dariawa, Dung, Nathuwa and Salumber 3 each, Hindoon, Sarada and Viratnagar 2 each and Banera, Chomu, Gogunda, Hammirgarh, Jayal, Kherwara, Mangliwas and Sagwar 1 each; west Rajasthan: Jaisalmer 8, Sriganganagar 4 and Ratangarh 1; east Uttar Pradesh: Bhinga 2; west Uttar Pradesh: Jhansi 2; and Uttaranchal: Uttarkashi 4, Dehra Dun 3 and Haripur 1.

Forecast valid until the morning of September 11: Rain/thundershowers will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal, at a few places in Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in east Uttar Pradesh.

Heavy rainfall warning: Isolated heavy rain is likely in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu division of Jammu and Kashmir during the next 48 hours.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of September 11: Generally cloudy sky with possibility of rain/thundershowers in some areas.
