Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Haryana, east Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in west Rajasthan. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm. are: Haryana: Guhla and Nilokheri 1 each, Himachal Pradesh: Kandaghat, Nagrotasurian and Shimla 1 each, Jammu and Kashmir: Batote, Jammu and Katra 1 each, Punjab: Amritsar 3, Ferozepore and Tibri 2 each and Moga 1, East Uttar Pradesh: Kakrahi 7, Balrampur 6, Bansi and Bhinga 5 each, Khadda 4, Ayodhya and Chandradeepghat 3 each, Bahraich and Kakardharighat 2 each and Gorakhpur, Regoli and Turtipar 1 each, and Uttaranchal: Hardwar 1.

Forecast valid untl the morning of August 10: Rain/thundershowers will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh, north Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at a few places in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and south Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in the rest of the region.
