A Division Bench of the Punjab and Haryana High Court had delivered its judgement in the Chandigarh Law Institute case on February 14, holding the allotment of a prime piece of land in Sector 38-A for the Institute as arbitrary, unjust, clandestine and illegal and opposed to Article 14 of the Constitution.

Youth Cong to send ration for Gujarat, MP flood victims

Gang of narcotics smugglers busted; 3 held
Chandigarh, July 10
Continuing with its campaign against the drug-menace in the city, the Crime Branch of the Chandigarh police today apprehended a three-member gang of alleged inter-state narcotic smugglers from near Sarangpur village. The police seized 288 kg of poppy husk worth Rs 1.5 lakh from their possession.
