Rain forecast for Himachal

Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at most places in Uttaranchal, at many places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and east Rajasthan and at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir and Uttar Pradesh. Weather was dry in west Rajasthan. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm. are: Haryana: Chandigarh 10, Ambala 4 and New Delhi (Palam) 1, Himachal Pradesh: Sundernagar 3 and Shimla 2, Punjab: Patiala 7 and Ludhiana 1, east Rajasthan: Paota 5, Phuliakalan 3, Indergarh, Jhalawar, Nagar Forte, Nainwan, Piplu and Todaraisingh 2 each and Aligarh, Bharatpur, Devli and Veir 1 each, east Uttar Pradesh; Fafamau 2 and Gorakhpur and Varanasi FM 1 each and Uttaranchal: Hardwar 8, Rudraprayag 6, Marora and Tehri 5 each, Rishikesh 4, Dehradun FM, New Tehri and Srinagar 2 each and Dehra Dun and Uttarkashi 1 each.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures changed little. Departure: They were appreciably above normal in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir, above normal in Haryana and normal in the rest of the region. The highest maximum temperature in the region was 47°C recorded at Sriganganagar.

Forecast valid until the morning of June 28: Rain/thundershowers will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at a few places in Haryana and Punjab and at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir. Duststorm/thunderstorm is likely at a few places in east Rajasthan and at isolated places in west Rajasthan. Isolated thundersqualls are likely in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of June 28: Generally cloudy sky with rain/thundershowers in some areas. The maximum temperature will be around 35°C.
