Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in west Rajasthan. Weather was dry in the rest of the region.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures rose in Jammu and Kashmir and east Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were appreciably above normal in east Uttar Pradesh, above normal in east Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The highest maximum temperature in the region was 45.8 recorded at Varanasi A.P.(Uttar Pradesh).

Forecast valid until the morning of May 28: Rain/thundershowers are likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Punjab and Uttaranchal. Isolated duststorm/thunderstorm is likely in Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. Isolated thundersqualls are likely in east Uttar Pradesh.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of May 28: Mainly clear sky with possibility of duststorm/thunderstorm in some areas during evening/night. The maximum temperature will be around 43°C.
