Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at most places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in west Rajasthan. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Jammu and Kashmir: Banihal, Batote and Srinagar 1 each.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures fell in west Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were markedly above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, appreciably above normal in Himachal Pradesh, above normal in Haryana, Punjab, east Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The highest maximum temperature in the region was 43.8°C recorded at Allahabad (Uttar Pradesh).

Forecast valid until the morning of April 25: Rain/thundershowers will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at a few places in Punjab and Uttaranchal. Isolated duststorm/thunderstorm is likely in Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of April 25: Partly cloudy sky with possibisllity of Thundry development/light rain accompanied with squall in some areas. The maximum temperature will be around 39°C.
