Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures changed a little.

Departure: This was markedly above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, appreciably above normal in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh, above normal in Haryana and Uttaranchal and normal in west Uttar Pradesh. The highest maximum temperature in the region was 42.8°C recorded at Churu (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of 23rd April 2005: Rain/thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Isolated duststorm/thunderstorm is likely in west Rajasthan. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of April 23: Partly cloudy sky with possibility of thundry development accompanied with squall in some areas. The maximum temperature will be around 40°C.
