The confessions made by members of a gang, involved in the printing of fake degrees and certificates of various universities, show that the authorities in the Education Department were not serious about curbing malpractices, including tampering and issuing of fake documents.

Traffic chaos bane of city residents

Ludhiana, April 21 With ever increasing population and number of vehicles in the city, traffic chaos plagues almost all major roads and the vehicular movement is a horrible experience. Labourer commits suicide

Lakhvir Singh of Barwali Khurd near here, allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself with a tree with the help of a cloth. According to police sources, the victim was a labourer and has three minor children.
