Blue bull released in forest area

The UT Forest and Wildlife officials today captured the blue-bull that had strayed into Haryana Forest and Wildlife Minister Venod Sharma’s farmhouse located along the Chandigarh-Ambala highway in Hallo Majra village and released it into the forest area adjoining Sukhna Lake.

Arts college sans regular principal for 16 yrs

The Government College of Art, Sector 10, has been functioning without a regular principal for the past 16 years. The credit goes to various complications in the existing rules. Jailbreak case: Admn, police accused of negligence

The Chandigarh Administration and local police have been accused of being “negligent and careless” in the infamous Burail jailbreak case. In a recent order on the framing of charges against the accused in the jailbreak case, the Additional Sessions Judge, Mr Balbir Singh, noted that a few administrative and police officers were also responsible and had shown carelessness and negligence in connection with the escape of prisoners.

Red Cross society first-aid training course from tomorrow
Chandigarh, April 17
The UT Red Cross Society has restructured first-aid training and the first course will be held on April 19. Training will be given in two shifts — from 10 am to 12 noon and from 2 pm to 4 pm — for two weeks at Karuna Sadan Building, Sector 11-B, Chandigarh.
