Malaysian firm may build 2 jails in state

A Malaysian company, which has been into construction and the infrastructure development business, may be awarded a contract to build two medium-security modern jails at Nabha and Jalandhar at a cost of more than Rs 300 crore.

Buses to Nankana Sahib may not ply on Baisakhi

The Pakistan Government seems to have developed cold feet regarding the plying of 10 special buses symbolically from Amritsar to Nankana Sahib on April 13, Baisakhi day. Informed sources said that though this issue was taken up by the Union External Affairs Ministry with its counterpart in Pakistan, there has been no adequate response in this regard yet.
