35 dead, 100 injured as blasts rock Dimapur
Dimapur, October 2
Two simultaneous bomb blasts in Dimapur Railway station and Hongkong Market in Nagaland left at least 35 persons dead and 100 injured on the birthday of the apostle of
non-violence, Mahatma Gandhi, today.

PM briefs Advani, Jaswant on meeting with Musharraf

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh met Leaders of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Jaswant Singh today and in the Lok Sabha L.K. Advani, respectively, yesterday as part of his plan to brief the allies as well as the Opposition on his meetings with Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf and US President George Bush in New York last week.

Higher reaches of Himachal Pradesh experienced fresh snowfall today, plumetting the temperature in the region.
The high altitude areas in the tribal district of Lahaul Spiti and Kinnaur experienced snowfall since this morning, while Keylong, the headquarters of Lahaul Spiti, received rain today.
