Snowfall in Himachal

Shimla, October 2
Higher reaches of Himachal Pradesh experienced fresh snowfall today, plumetting the temperature in the region.

The high altitude areas in the tribal district of Lahaul Spiti and Kinnaur experienced snowfall since this morning, while Keylong, the headquarters of Lahaul Spiti, received rain today.

The famous Manimahesh lake, situated at an altitude of about 4,050 metres above sea level in Bharmour tribal subdivision of Chamba district, was frozen due to heavy snowfall in the commanding Dhauladhar range during the past 12 hours, a report from Dharamsala said.

The entire Kangra valley and Pangi tribal valleys continued to reel under cold wave conditions following heavy rain. — UNI
