India, Nepal vow to
fight terror
New Delhi, September 12
Expressing determination to combat terrorism New Delhi today assured
Kathmandu of further strengthening its security forces, including Nepal police, for curbing the Maoist insurgency.
The assurance came from Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in the joint statement issued at the end of the five-day
visit of Nepalese Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has postponed his maiden two-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir which was to begin on September 16, sources at the Prime Minister’s Office
said.

Plane returns to save infant’s life
New Delhi, September 12
An Indian Airlines flight on its way to Bangalore returned to Delhi this morning to save the life of a two-and-a-half-month-old baby in the plane, faced with a serious breathing problem.
On being informed that the baby Mohanmmed Hassan was facing problems in
breathing, Captain MPS Gill who was commanding the plane returned to
Delhi and landed aircraft at the IGI airport at 8.06 am, airport sources
said.
