Heat wave conditions prevailing again in some parts of west Rajasthan. These are likely to abate in a day or two.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal, at many places in Punjab, at a few places in Haryana and east Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in west Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Haryana: Chandigarh 3 and Ambala 1, Himachal Pradesh: Baijnath and Rampur Bushar 3 each, Bhuntar, Ghamroor, Jhandutta, Kahu, Pandoh, Paonta, Shimla and Sundernagar 2 each and Arki, Guler, Kasol, Nagrota Suriyan and Sunni Bhajji 1 each, Jammu and Kashmir: Jammu 3 and Batote, Banihal, Quazigund and Srinagar 1 each, Punjab: Ludhiana and Patiala 1 each, East Utar Pradesh: Varanasi AP 4 and Varanasi city 1, Uttaranchal: Dehradun 2 and Mukteshwar, Pantnagar and Tehri 1 each.
Temperatures:
Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures fell in Haryana, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere.

This was appreciably below normal in Haryana, Punjab and west Uttar Pradesh, below normal in east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, above normal in Rajasthan, and normal in the rest of the region. the highest temperature in the region was 47.9°C recorded at Churu (Rajasthan).
