Temperatures fall in Punjab

Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have been reported at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. Bhuntar (Himachal Pradesh) recorded 1 cm of rainfall.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures fell appreciably in west Uttar Pradesh, fell in Haryana, Punjab and Rajasthan and changed a little elsewhere. Departure: They were largely above normal in Himachal Pradesh, markedly above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, appreciably above normal in Punjab and Uttaranchal, above normal in east Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 46.4°C recorded at Sriganganagar and Suratgarh (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of May 23: Rain or thundershowers are likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Isolated dust storms/thunderstorms are likely in the rest of the region.
