Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures changed little.

Departure: This was markedly above normal in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kasmir, Punjab, Rajasthan and Uttaranchal and appreciably above normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 44.1°C recorded at Barmer (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of April 18: Rain/thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Isolated duststorms/thunderstorms is likely in Haryana, Punjab and Rajasthan. Weather will be mainly dry in Uttar Pradesh.
