Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures changed little. Departures: These were markedly above normal in Jammu and Kashmir and appreciably above normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 40.3°C recorded at Barmer (Rajasthan).

Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures changed little. Departures: These were above normal in Himachal Pradeh, west Rajasthan and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 11.4°C recorded at Sarsawa (Uttar Pradesh).

Forecast valid until the morning of April 2: Weather will be mainly dry over the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of April 2: Mainly clear sky likely to become partly cloudy tomorrow. Maximum temperature will be around 37° C.
