Poll promise: HVP to reduce power tariff

Trust donates orphanage for children to Bahadurgarh
Bahadurgarh, March 31
The Krishna Somany Charity Trust has donated an orphanage for children to the district of Bahadurgarh in Haryana. Mr Mahindra Kumar, Deputy Commissioner, Jhajjar, and Mr R. K. Somany, who is the Trustee, Krishna Somany Charity Trust as well as the Chairman and Managing Director, Hindustan Sanitary ware and Industries Limited, inaugurated the orphanage and handed it over to the District Council for Child Welfare, Jhajjar.

New Metro fares come into effect, discount on cards

The Metro Rail has been extended to Rithala in North-West Delhi with the opening up of the 8.9 km long Inderlok-Rithala section.

Gangster, accomplice held after encounter

The Delhi Police Crime Branch claimed to have arrested a notorious gangster, Sartaj, alias Salim (36), along with his accomplice, Arshad (26), both residents of Bijnore, UP, after an encounter. Two countrymade weapons and three live cartridges were seized from their possession.

Councillor’s employees hurt while mishandling revolver
New Delhi: Two persons who mishandled a licensed weapon of an MCD councillor of Najafgarh were injured this afternoon in the Janakpuri area. However, the victims, Sunil Kumar (25), resident of Bawana, and Anil Kumar (35), resident of Najafgarh, guard and driver, respectively, were rushed to Mata Chanan Hospital and were reported to be out of danger.
