Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures rose in west Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere.

Departure: They were markedly above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, appreciably above normal in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and above normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 39.8C recorded at Barmer (Rajasthan).

Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell in west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere.

Departure: They were above normal in east Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 11.0°C recorded at Sarsawa (Uttar Pradesh).

Forecast valid until the morning of April I: Rain or snow is likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning April 1: Mainly clear sky. Maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 36°C and 18°C respectively.
