Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures rose in west Rajasthan, fell in east Uttar Pradesh and changed a little elsewhere. Departure: They were markedly above normal in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir, appreciably above normal in west Rajasthan, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and above normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 39.2°C recorded at Allahabad (Uttar Pradesh).

Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures changed a little. Departure: They were above normal in Himachal Pradesh and east Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 11.7°C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of March 31: Rain or snow is likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of March 31: Mainly clear sky. Maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 35°C and 19°C respectively.
