Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum
temperatures rose in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal and changed a
little elsewhere. Departure: This was largely above normal in Jammu
and Kashmir, markedly above normal in Himachal Pradesh and west
Rajasthan, appreciably above normal in east Rajasthan and Uttaranchal
and above normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in
the region was 39°C recorded at Barmer (Rajasthan).

little elsewhere. Departure: They were markedly above normal in west
Rajasthan, appreciably above normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, east
Rajasthan and Uttaranchal, above normal in Jammu and Kashmir and west
Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest
temperature in the plains was 9°C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).
