Rainfall: Rain or snow has occurred at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures rose in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, east Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere.

Departure: They were appreciably above normal in Rajasthan, above normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 8.5°C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of February 24: Rain or snow is likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Uttaranchal. Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Rajasthan. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of February 24: Mainly clear sky, likely to become partly cloudy during night. Mist in the morning. Minimum temperature will be around 13°C.
