Departure: They were markedly below normal in west Uttar Pradesh, appreciably below normal in Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh, below normal in Haryana, Punjab and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 1.2°C recorded at Adampur (Punjab).
