Cop suspended in spat with VIP wards reinstated

The state police has reinstated a former Sarabha Nagar SHO, Inspector Sandeep Wadehra, who was under suspension for more than the past three months following a bitter controversy between him and Congress minister Malkiat Singh Birmi over the alleged misbehaviour of the politician's son with the police official.

The Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) has taken exception to the working of the police and bureaucracy in the state with regard to the recent development in the state which saw the shifting of Mr A.P. Nagar kirtans mark Gurpurb
