Jagdalpur, December 23
In a horrifying episode, two primary school pupils were killed when their heads were allegedly banged against each other by their teacher at Chhote Murma village, near the district headquarters.

The police said here that the instructor was arrested today.

Some children who bunked school were observed playing yesterday by Mr Pramod Yadav. As the teacher approached the group, all children managed to flee except class IV pupil Premnath (10) and class I pupil Harun (6).

Mr Yadav’s angry act resulted in the two students dying on the spot. Tension prevailed at the hamlet in the wake of the episode.

Recently, a nine-year-old schoolboy, at Rawatpura in Madhya Pradesh’s Datia district, was allegedly beaten so severely by a woman teacher that his right eye popped out of its socket. — UNI
