Rainfall:
Weather was dry over the region.
Temperatures: Past 24-hour change: Maximum temperatures rose in Jammu and Kashmir, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere.

Departures: They were markedly above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, above normal in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 35.2°C recorded at Barmer (Rajasthan).

Past 24-hour change: Minimum temperatures fell in Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere.

Departures: They were appreciably above normal in east Uttar Pradesh, above normal in Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 10.3°C recorded at Amritsar.

Forecast valid until the morning of November 1: Weather will be mainly dry over the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of November 1: Mainly clear sky. Mist in the morning. Maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 32°C and 16°C, respectively.
