Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Uttaranchal, at a few places in Haryana and Rajasthan and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Haryana: Chandigarh 2, Himachal Pradesh: Bharwain and Shimla 1 each, Punjab: Bhatinda 1, east Rajasthan: Amer and Dungla 2 each and Taksola 1, west Rajasthan: Raisingh Nagar 6 and Gadsana 1, East Uttar Pradesh: Deoria 2 and Uttaranchal: Ranikhet 3, Mukteshwar 2 and Joshimath and Tehri 1 each.

Forecast valid until the morning of August 24: Rain or thundershowers will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at a few places in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and west Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in Rajasthan.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of August 24: Mainly cloudy sky with possibility of rain/thundershowers in some areas.
