Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have been reported at many places in east Uttar Pradesh, at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, east Rajasthan and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Haryana and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Haryana: Naraingarh 2 and Chandigarh 1; Himachal Pradesh: Guler 3, Kahu 2 and Mandi, Nagrota Surian and Nahan 1 each; east Rajasthan: Bari, Sevalahead, Talabshahi and Uchain 2 each and Bhusawar 1; east Uttar Pradesh: Balmikinagar 14, Elginbridge 11, Mukhlispur 8, Chhatnag, Khadda and Regoli 7 each, Chandradeepghat and Shardanagar 6 each, Katerniaghat 5, Bani 3, Banda, Basti, Bhatpurwaghat, Gorakhpur, Kakrahi and Turtipar 2 each and Ayodhya, Balrampur, Ballia, Bridghat, Bansi, Chillaghat, Mirzapur and Palliakalan 1 each; west Uttar Pradesh: Mohana 1; and Uttaranchal: Pantnagar 6, Banbasa 4, Dehra Dun and Haripur 2 each and Hardwar 1.

Forecast valid until the morning of August 20: Rain or thundershowers are likely at many places in Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at a few places in Punjab and east Rajasthan and at isolated places in the rest of the region.

Heavy rainfall warning: Heavy rain at a few places with very heavy rain at isolated places are likely in north Uttar Pradesh during the next 48 hours. Isolated heavy rain is also likely in Himachal Pradesh, south Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal during the same period.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of August 20: Mainly cloudy sky with possibility of rain/thudershowers in some areas.

Farmers’ weather bulletin for Delhi forecast valid until the morning of August 20: Light or moderate rain is likely at a few places.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: No large change.
