Priyanka all smiles as Sonia speaks

New Delhi, August 18
The gallery reserved for the members of the Rajya Sabha was today packed to its capacity as the Leader of the Opposition, Ms Sonia Gandhi, moved the motion in the Lok Sabha expressing lack of confidence in the Council of Ministers.

Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Laloo Prasad Yadav sat in the gallery for members from the Upper House while Ms Gandhi's daughter Priyanka sat in the distinguished persons' gallery. Priyanka was seen beaming as her mother was speaking.

Those in the Rajya Sabha gallery included several nominated members, Ms Shabana Azmi and Mr Kuldeep Nayyar and Congress MPs Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad, Mrs Ambika Soni and Mr T. Subbarami Reddy.

Former Union Minister M.L. Fotedar was seen in the public gallery, while Jammu and Kashmir Panthers Party leader Bhim Singh was present in the Speaker's gallery. — UNI
