Ex-OSD to Badal is proclaimed offender
Our Correspondent

Kharar, August 18
A local court has declared Hardeep Singh, former Officer on Special Duty to former Punjab Chief Minister Mr Parkash Singh Badal, as a proclaimed offender (PO).

Orders to this effect were passed by the Judicial Magistrate here, Mrs Baljinder Kaur Bhatia, in connection with an August 14 application moved by the Punjab Vigilance Bureau.

The bureau had mentioned in its application that according to the order issued by the court on June 6, the proclamation had already been pasted at appropriate places. It had contended that the DSP, Vigilance, Mr S.S. Kahlon, had already recorded his statement about this in the court. The bureau had pleaded that since the accused was evading arrest, he should be declared a proclaimed offender.

A case has been registered against Hardeep Singh on the charge of accumulating assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

Meanwhile, the court has fixed August 21 as the date of hearing of an application seeking the arrest of Hardeep Singh, Kanwaljeet Singh Sidhu (Wimpy International), Pinki Grover (a resident of New Delhi), Ashish Kapoor and Krishan Kumar (both PAs to Mr Sukhbir Badal) in connection with a case registered against Mr Parkash Singh Badal vide FIR No 15 of June 24.
