Monsoon has been active in east Rajasthan.
Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have been reported at most places in east Rajasthan, at a few places in Haryana and Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, west Rajasthan and Uttaranchal. Weather was mainly dry in Jammu and Kashmir. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Haryana: Masani Barrage and Rewari 7 each, Delhi ridge, New Delhi (Palam and Safdarjung) and Sonepat 2 each and Dadri Toye, Panipat and Tajewala 1 each; Himachal Pradesh: Paonta 1; Punjab: Adampur 2; East Rajasthan: Bansur 8, Chhoti Sadri 7, Asnawar, Bahadurpur and Jhalawar 6 each, Bayana and Jawaharsagar 5 each, Jahajpur, Morasagar and Raipur 4 each, Ajan, Abhaypura, Baretha, Deegana, Dholpur, Hindoli, Kotkasim, Mandawar, Nagar, Rainbasera, Rawatbhata, Talabshahi and Viratnagar 3 each, Madhopur 1 each; east Uttar Pradesh:Turtipar 5, Ayodhya 2 and Birdghat, Chandradeepghat, Dalmau, Elginbridge, Jaunpur, Katerniaghat and Sultanpur 1 each; west Uttar Pradesh: Mathura 7, Hindon 2 and Sarsawa 1 each; and Uttaranchal: Banbasa 2.

Forecast valid until the morning of August 19: Rain or thundershowers are likely at many places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, east Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh, at a few places in Punjab, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolate dplaces in the rest of the region.

Heavy rainfall warning: Heavy rain is likely at isolated places in east Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh during the next 24 hours.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of August 19: Mainly cloudy sky with one or two spell of rain or thundershowers in some areas.
