Monsoon has been vigorous in Punjab and active in Haryana.

Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in west Rajasthan, at many places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, east Rajasthan and Uttaranchal, at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and west Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in east Uttar Pradesh. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are as follows: Haryana — New Delhi (Palam and Safdarjung) 7 each, Tohana 4, Ballabhgarh 3, Delhi Ridge 2 and Ambala, Hisar and Adampur 1 each; Himachal Pradesh — Sunibhajji and Una 1 each; Jammu and Kashmir — Batote 1; Punjab — Patiala 8, Bathinda 5, Halwaras 3 and Amritsar, Adampur and Ludhiana 1 each— east Rajasthan — Jaipur and Udaipur 1 each — west Rajasthan — Bikaner 7, Jodhpur and Nal 2 each — east Uttar Pradesh — Banda 2 and Chillaghat 1; west Uttar Pradesh — Hindon 12, Hamirpur and Shahjina 3 each and Kalpi 1; and Uttaranchal — Tehri 3 and Banbasa, Haripur, Mukteshwar and Uttarkashi 1 each.

Forecast valid until the morning of July 8: Rain or thundershowers will occur at many places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at a few places in the rest of the region.

Heavy rainfall warning: Isolated heavy rain is likely in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, east Rajasthan and Uttaranchal during the next 48 hours.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of July 8: Mainly cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain or thundershowers. Heavy rain is also likely in some areas.

Farmers’ weather bulletin for Delhi: Forecast valid until the morning of July 8: Light to moderate rain will occur at many places.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: No big change.
