Three of family die in car-truck collision
Rewari, June 2
A couple and their son were killed after their Maruti car collided head on with a truck on the Rewari-Narnaul road near Govindpuri village, 12 km from here, last evening. Their six-year-old daughter, Dimple, sustained serious injuries in the accident.

BJP raises the roof over MCD ‘graft’
New Delhi, June 2
The BJP and other opposition members in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi today created a furore in the House in protest against the rejection of short notices moved by Leader of Opposition in the Standing Committee Vijender Gupta to discuss the rampant corruption in the corporation, inefficiency of officials and nepotism in appointments. It was also mentioned in the notice that issues were being politicised by the ruling party in the corporation.

Cricketers break new ground in such camps
Rohtak, June 2
Former Indian wicket-keeper Vijay Yadav has said that the off-season coaching camps provide a turf for purposeful practice to the cricketers during the months preceding the start of the new session. Yadav was talking to the ‘NCR Tribune’ here at Rohtak Cricket Academy—the venue of an off-season camp organised by the Haryana Cricket Association.

DSGMC outlines protest week agenda

The Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee today advocated the move to get Punjabi the status of second language in Delhi. In a joint statement issued here, DSGMC President Paramjit Singh Sarna and Punjabi Development Committee Chairman Bir Inder Singh, in a joint statement, said a series of meetings would be conducted during the protest week.

The body of a young girl found hanging from a tree in Kassuri police station area has created panic in the area. The girl has apparently been killed by hanging from a tree. For the area police, however, it is a case of suicide.
