Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in east Rajasthan. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures rose in west Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. Departures: They were appreciably above normal in Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan, above normal in Haryana, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region.

The highest temperature in the region was 45.6°C, recorded at Churu (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of May 20: Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Isolated dust storm or thunderstorm is likely in Haryana and Punjab. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of May 20: Mainly clear sky with dust haze. Thundery development accompanied with squall is likely in some areas. Maximum temperature will be around 43°C.

Farmers weather bulletin for Delhi forecast valid until the morning of May 20: Development of thunderclouds is likely at a few places. Squall with wind speed exceeding 65 km ph is likely at isolated places.
